Abstract

Ultra-high temperature ceramics (UHTCs) are critical materials in aerospace due to their ability to withstand extreme environments. Pressureless sintering has emerged as a viable method for manufacturing UHTCs with improved mechanical strength and microstructural homogeneity. This paper investigates advancements in pressureless sintering techniques, focusing on material selection, sintering parameters, and the role of additives in optimizing performance.
