Ecosystem-based fisheries management (EBFM) has emerged as a holistic approach to maintaining ecosystem integrity while optimizing fishery yields. This paper examines the development and application of EBFM models that incorporate predator-prey interactions and habitat connectivity, emphasizing their utility in multi-species fisheries. Recent advancements in 2023 are reviewed, highlighting improvements in data integration, modeling techniques, and decision-making tools. Results demonstrate the potential of EBFM to balance ecological sustainability with economic benefits.
