Abstract

Cloud computing has transformed the healthcare industry, revolutionising the way patient data is managed, medical services are delivered, and healthcare providers collaborate. This article explores the transformative role of cloud computing in healthcare IT, highlighting its advantages such as scalability, cost-efficiency, and enhanced accessibility to patient data. Cloud- based electronic health records (EHRs) have improved care co- ordination and decision-making, while cloud analytics platforms enable data-driven insights for proactive healthcare strategies. Cloud computing also enables telemedicine and remote patient monitoring, expanding healthcare access. However, challenges concerning data security and privacy must be addressed. Cloud computing’s integration in healthcare promises continued innovation and enhanced patient care worldwide.
