To meet the demands of modern software delivery while maintaining rigorous security standards, organizations are turning to DevSecOps methodologies. This abstract examines the pivotal role of native platform integrations and fostering an inner source culture, in establishing a secure software factory that empowers developers and fosters DevSecOps excellence within the enterprise. By seamlessly integrating native platform capabilities into the DevSecOps pipeline, organizations can orchestrate a cohesive ecosystem where security is ingrained into every stage of the software development lifecycle. Native platform integration also enables, as a great abstraction layer, reusability through common templates, blueprints, and starter kits by enhancing the developer experiences and addressing the pain points of context switching and by avoiding developer distractions. In summary, by embracing native platform integration for DevSecOps, enterprises can establish a robust foundation for secure software development and deployment that prioritizes security, agility, reliability, integrity, assurance, velocity, and innovation.
