Abstract

Phosphate ester oils are commonly employed in critical industrial applications due to their remarkable resistance to fire and thermal stability. However, over time, these oils can undergo degradation, resulting in decreased performance and heightened maintenance expenses. To address this issue, the study focuses on enhancing the physical and chemical characteristics of used phosphate ester oil through various techniques involving solvents, ion exchange resin, and aluminum. The process involves passing the contaminated phosphate ester material through alumina and ionic resin to eliminate acidity and moisture content, ultimately improving the oil's properties for potential reuse.
